On the Trail
With helmets, one of the most important questions besides safety is undoubtedly whether they fit without any pressure points. In my case, with the A-Line, the clear answer is yes. It sits, fits, and there's no play - just as it should be. As a result, it doesn't wobble when the terrain sets the bike dancing about, nor does it slip down into your field of view on hard landings.
A second pair of cheek pads was included in the box; however, since these are thinner than the ones fitted as standard, my head would have had too much room with them. I'd guess thinner pads are included across all sizes.
My goggles had enough space without pressing on my nose; that said, there isn't a huge amount of margin in that regard. One highlight is the low weight, which puts this downhill-certified helmet right up among the best in its class.
The small vents provide only limited cooling on particularly hot summer days. Given the promised safety features, though, that's a trade-off you're happy to accept. Thankfully I didn't have to put those features to the test, but the list of technologies on board inspires confidence - and wrapping all that in a genuinely appealing design (still not a given with fullface helmets) deserves real praise.
