In their "Experience Center," which they moved into twelve months ago in the thriving Heiligenstadt, the Vienna-based company has focused on some of their most popular products.
The name Woom Go is given to the new edition of the super-light balance and kids' bikes for 1.5- to 8-year-olds, which have enabled millions of children worldwide to joyfully start cycling over the past twelve years as Woom Originals. Price: depending on size, from 229 to 539 euros. Ready is the name of the helmet for kids aged 1 to 14, priced at €74.90, which, while essentially looking like the previous bestseller, has been completely redeveloped.
And: Step by step with the latest creations, many fresh colors are also making their way into the Woom universe. Thanks to the mix-and-match strategy, they can be easily combined with one another, but also harmonize with the previous designs. This allows kids to customize their fleet, including accessories, according to their individual preferences, as color expert Jen Holloway explained during a special masterclass held at the launch event.

Woom Go
What is cool for the grown-ups? This question was answered by the children's bike specialists last fall with the introduction of the Woom Explore. Now, product designer Matthias Leite-Gürtner provided information to the assembled press about what the little ones want – and presented the Go series as the successor to the ultimate Woom classic.
- Thinner grips with larger bar ends for better grip and reduced risk of injury
- Ergonomically age-appropriate optimized saddles, developed in collaboration with Selle Royal; on the Go 1 and 1 Plus, featuring an extra rounded and textured saddle nose underneath, making it easier for parents to carry the balance bike when the little ones are busy with other things
- Simplified growth adjustment through ABC adjustment (Go 2 to 4): Saddle post and handlebars feature markings divided into three zones. When the next zone is reached for the saddle height, it’s time to adjust the handlebars accordingly.
- Specifically for the Go 4: an even more upright sitting position for better visibility and safety while riding. The BMX handlebar now used here is compatible with Woom’s POP bike basket. The grip-shift gear system has been made smoother and equipped with an intuitively understandable gear indicator to make learning to shift easier.
Woom Ready
Woom identified further potential for improvement in head protection. Since a helmet only provides perfect protection if it fits perfectly, the new Ready helmet for children aged one to 14 comes in three sizes (XS: 46–50 cm, S: 50–53 cm, M: 53–57 cm), each with its own age-appropriate inner shell design. For example, toddlers have a significantly flatter back of the head compared to teenagers. Simply increasing the overall circumference would therefore not be sufficient for an ideal fit.
Additionally, the children's helmet, which is also approved for skateboarding, scooter riding, or transport in a child seat or trailer, is now equipped with a new adjustment system. Its larger adjustment dial, priced at €74.90, is easier to access (by assisting adults) thanks to an enlarged recess in the helmet shell.
Instead of straps that can get tangled, there are twist-resistant cords that also incorporate reflective threads. Moreover, the two side logos and the sticker on the adjustment dial reflect headlight beams.
A new, very easy-to-use magnetic closure secures the chin strap without potentially pinching a piece of skin. The small, fixed visor not only protects against sun and rain but also prevents injuries thanks to its energy-absorbing material properties. And last but not least, there is now an optional, rechargeable, shock- and splash-proof LED rear light with a practical auto-off mode. Its mount fits all three helmet sizes and can be purchased as a bundle with the helmet (€84.90).
Our vision is to inspire children to embrace cycling and thus make an important contribution to a sustainable, healthy, and active future. The increasing demand for high-quality, child-friendly bicycles shows us that we are on the right track, especially since Woom bikes can not only be purchased new at full price but also through our subscription model or the second-hand market," explained CEO Bernd Hake during the first product launch under his leadership.
With the Woom Go and the Ready children's helmet, the brand's presence in this dynamic market is to be further expanded, taking the next step in promoting cycling for the youngest generations, according to the managing director, who has been in office since October.
