Mr. EIT, a popular YouTuber in the German-speaking E-Mountainbike community, invited people again this year to the Patreon autumn ride. A strictly limited group of 20 participants faced 40 kilometers with a medium level of technical difficulty around Seebenstein in the Bucklige Welt. However, Mr. EIT ultimately wasn't so strict by granting NoSane and NoPain a wildcard for his event.
Numerous participants from all corners of Austria as well as Germany, who took trips of up to 8.5 hours, joined the local heroes from Wiener Neustadt. However, they all had one thing in common: They were equipped with E-Mountainbikes to tackle the hilly route over 1,400 challenging meters of elevation in the autumn landscape.

At this point, a big thank you to Philipp Martin from Orbea for the loan of two beautiful Wild E-MTBs.
About Mr. EIT
Mr. EIT makes weekly YouTube videos, is a technologist, coffee drinker, supermodel, e-mountain biker, and everything in between. His videos are 100% self-produced DigitalContent and are intended not only to entertain but also to provide knowledge about e-MTBs and bring the joy of it closer to some.
Incidentally, there are also genuine product reviews and the occasional excursion off the home trails. But actually, Mr. EIT does whatever he wants anyway - as long as it's #fetzngeilerscheissÂ

High-Tech Equipment and Optimal Preparation
Other equipment was also carefully selected to meet the requirements of the trails and all eventualities. Helmets (of course), bike glasses, finest mountain bike gear, first aid kits, and eight walkie-talkies (!) were part of the equipment to ensure safety and comfort during the ride.
Although most participants had e-MTBs with powerful batteries, some opted for lighter models with smaller batteries. To ensure that everyone could complete the circuit, there was an opportunity at halftime not only to recharge their own batteries but also those of the bicycles.
The Ride
Mr. EIT's Home Trails led the participants through the idyllic landscapes of the Bucklige Welt, from Seebenstein over Scheiblingkirchen to Petersbaumgarten and back. Deservedly, the weather also cooperated, and the untypically warm temperatures for mid-October provided ideal conditions. The trails were dry and grippy, which made the ride particularly pleasant and boosted the mood.
Amidst the rising euphoria before technically challenging sections, Mr. EIT always intervened with determination, emphasizing the importance of prudence and stood by with helpful advice, which also gave beginners the opportunity to tackle quite a few big challenges or, if necessary, to push the bike. Everything was allowed, except dying due to a fall.

Food and Charging Break
Mr. EIT, known for his attention to detail, ensured not only a smooth ride but also took care of the physical well-being. In addition to water and tea, participants were also served specially brewed coffee, homemade cakes, and juicy rum balls. However, the highlight was undoubtedly a provided portable power station, with which the E-MTB Light and Turbo Boost riders could recharge their batteries during the 30-minute break. A heartfelt thanks goes to Mr. EIT's wife Daniela, who drove the service vehicle and took great care of the catering and the mentioned technical support.
Accessibility for All
We are all familiar with the many banal statements from manufacturers like 'further, faster, higher'. Moreover, it is undisputed that e-MTBs open up the sport of mountain biking to people who, due to their fitness, health condition, or age, could not ride conventional mountain bikes.
An additional and possibly even the most significant advantage, however, is that people with varying levels of fitness have the opportunity to ride together. This strengthens cohesion, as no one is left behind and everyone can enjoy the ride in their individually chosen heart rate zone.
After review
After the tour is before the tour: Following the 8-hour excursion, all participants of the Community Ride had the opportunity to share their personal experiences during a joint dinner at Hotel Le Parc in Wiener Neustadt. They reflected on the joy of riding e-bikes together, the technical details of the route, and philosophized about essential topics such as the advantages and disadvantages of organic or sintered brake pads. For most, however, the debate was not too extensive, as the next big e-MTB tour was already scheduled for the following morning.
In the future, Bikeboard.at plans to undertake further activities with Mr. EIT and delve deeper into the world of the e-mountain bike community.
